Our History
Hello, my name is Jan, and together with Till, I am the co-founder of Inova Energy. Let me tell you the story of our company. It all began in the spring of 2021 when I met the lively Frenchman Alexander at a beach bar in Costa Rica. After a few beers and a conversation about life and the universe, we decided to travel the country together. During a bike tour along the coast of Puerto Viejo, Alexander told me about his project. He harnesses the power of the sun to produce solar energy by partnering with companies to use their rooftops. This idea sounded very compelling, especially as we were sweating under the scorching Caribbean sun.
Back in Switzerland, I couldn’t shake the thought of using solar energy myself. I sat down and developed a concept to apply the strategy my friend was using in my own country. With the skyrocketing electricity prices in 2022, the perfect time to launch my business presented itself. All I needed was the right team to successfully carry out my plan.

Fortunately, during my studies, I had built a network of dedicated individuals who were also interested in sustainable entrepreneurship. I quickly found interest in this group, and we decided to discuss the idea together. After a shared rafting trip on the Aare River on a hot summer day, we crossed the Rubicon. It was clear—we were going to start a company together. Our mission: is to help small and medium-sized enterprises benefit from lower electricity prices while contributing to a sustainable future.
